Creating World-Class Safari Destinations with Purpose and Profit

Africa is home to some of the world’s most iconic wilderness areas and national parks — vast, untamed landscapes that protect extraordinary biodiversity and offer life-changing travel experiences. From the sweeping savannas of the Serengeti and Masai Mara to the winding waterways of the Okavango Delta, and from the Greater Kruger with its famed Sabi Sands to remote treasures like Mana Pools and Lower Zambezi, these destinations stand at the intersection of nature, culture, and responsible tourism.

Across Africa, over 40 major national parks — ranging from 2,000 to more than 50,000 hectares — and countless private reserves and conservancies are actively engaged in biodiversity conservation. Responsible hospitality and tourism are critical in financing and sustaining these efforts. The right projects, in the right locations, supported by the right vision, have the power to protect wildlife, preserve landscapes, and uplift local communities.

Our Roots in Conservation and Responsible Tourism

At Think Trail Hospitality, our roots in wildlife conservation and eco-tourism run deep. We specialize in safari lodge development, conservation-aligned tourism strategies, and hospitality investment advisory for some of Africa’s most exceptional wilderness destinations.

Our approach blends commercial viability with environmental sensitivity and community integration — ensuring that every safari property we advise not only thrives financially but also enriches its surroundings and safeguards its natural heritage.

We understand the unique operational and market dynamics of safari destinations — from off-grid infrastructure planning and low-impact design principles to navigating concession agreements and aligning with conservation partners. Whether in the Serengeti, Masai Mara, Okavango Delta, Greater Kruger, private reserves, or emerging safari regions in Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Uganda, we craft bespoke solutions that elevate guest experience and extend destination longevity.

Blending commercial performance with conservation, community, and unforgettable guest experiences.

Rish’s journey in wildlife tourism began with projects in India’s celebrated reserves — Sasan Gir, Ranthambore, Jim Corbett, Kanha, and Pench — and expanded to Africa’s leading safari destinations. Having travelled extensively and worked hands-on in the African safari lodge sector, Rish has developed deep expertise in markets such as Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, and Namibia.
